Product Description

About these Custom Collar ID Tags:

These custom Collar Cards or ID Tags inform those around you that you are accompanied by a Service Dog and help inform them of your rights as a disabled individual. Service Dog Collar Cards cuts down on hassles in public places by clearly stating that your dog is a Service Dog.

These cards are NOT cheap laminated cards, and are made of durable PVC plastic that is as thick as your driver's license. The ink used is thermally infused into the plastic using high-heat printing so it is made to last.

The styles of collar cards offered are in the following styles:

  • Service dog
  • Therapy Dog
  • Service Dog In Training
  • Working Dog
  • Guide Dog
  • Medical Alert Dog
  • Mobility Dog
  • Hearing Dog
  • Seizure Alert Dog
  • ESA Support K9 (Emotiona Support Animal)
  • PTSD Service Dog
  • Search & Rescue

The back of the Service Dog style cards feature information from the D.O.T., regarding the ADA, our Working Dog and Therapy Dog styles will feature a brief description of the dog's type of work. For example, when ordering a "Therapy Dog" style ID Badge, we will describe how Therapy Dogs are used in Hospitals, etc.

Collar-Cards can help make travelling on commercial airlines much, much easier. The Department of Transportation, also known as D.O.T., states the following for Service Animal Guidance for airlines:

• Carriers shall accept as evidence that an animal is a service animal with identifiers such as identification cards, other written documentation, and presence of harnesses, tags or the credible verbal assurances of a qualified individual with a disability using the animal.
Please note that the Department of Transportation lists identification cards at the top of their list and only verbal assurance is at the bottom. Many owners of service dogs have reported that the airlines have required some sort of identification even though by law they are not allowed to do this.

Please understand that you are NOT required by law to carry one of these cards, however, they can dramatically speed up your process of getting through airport security, etc. without arguments or confrontations.

For your dog's safety: never leave a collar card attached to your dog's equipment while they are unattended. This could result in your dog chewing the item, resulting in possible serious health issues.

Service Dog ID Badges Informs Others About Your Rights

The Americans with Disabilities Act, also known as the ADA, clearly states that proof of "certification" cannot be required by any facility or business for legal access if you meet the requirements for a person with a legal disability, and your dog meets the requirements of a service animal. While many business owners and establishments are ignorant of this law, Collar-Cards will have all of the necessary contact information should they require further explanation regarding your rights when accompanied by your Service Dog.
